Springdale-based Chandler Equipment Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of truck accessories, has recently acquired Starwood Customs, a Lowell-based provider of vehicle customization services.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Morgan and Chris Chandler, owners of Chandler Equipment, announced the deal in a social media post on Friday (May 16). The acquisition was completed April 14.
“With a legacy rooted in craftsmanship and innovation through Chandler Equipment, and our brands Backwoods Adventure Mods, Roambuilt and Chandler Truck Accessories, we’re proud to expand our footprint in the retail automotive space,” the post shows. “Starwood Customs has long been known for delivering high-quality vehicle customization. Under our leadership, it will now also serve as a regional hub for premium installations and products from our trusted brands – all backed by decades of industry experience and a relentless commitment to quality.”
President Chris Chandler said Starwood Customs has five employees and will keep its name. The 15,000-square-foot store is at 411 N. Goad Springs Road in Lowell.
“This acquisition was a great opportunity for us [to] vertically integrate,” he said. “Our companies have needed a retail store/install location in Northwest Arkansas for the last couple of years, and this acquisition gives us the opportunity to supply and install the products we manufacture.”
This was Chandler Equipment’s third acquisition that it has completed in the month of April. The company acquired Backwoods Adventure Mods in April 2017 and Roambuilt in April 2024.
The company has experienced rapid growth over the past several years, expanding into 92,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space. The company’s headquarters is at 4180 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale.
The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal named Morgan Chandler to the Forty Under Forty class in 2024.
